Zack Cozart Biography

Zachary Warren Cozart, born on August 12, 1985, is an American former professional baseball shortstop. He has played in Major League Baseball for the Cincinnati Reds and the Los Angeles Angels. The Cincinnati Reds selected Cozart in the second round of the 2007 MLB draft. Cozart signed with the Los Angeles Angels as a free agent prior to the 2018 season. He played college baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels at the University of Mississippi. Cozart posted a .310/.367/.473 career slash line during his collegiate career. The Reds promoted Cozart to the Carolina Mudcats of the Class AA Southern League during the 2009 season.
