William Roberts Biography

William Harold Roberts, born August 5, 1962, played 13 seasons in the NFL as an offensive lineman for the New York Giants, New England Patriots, and New York Jets. He played college football at Ohio State University, developing his skills before entering the professional league. Roberts was born in Miami, Florida, and attended Miami Carol City Senior High School before his collegiate career. He was selected 27th overall in the 1984 NFL draft by the New York Giants, launching his professional football journey. Roberts transitioned to the guard position in 1989, adapting his role to enhance team performance. He earned Pro Bowl honors after the 1990 season and participated in three Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XXI and XXV with the Giants and appearing in Super Bowl XXXI with the Patriots. Roberts concluded his career after the 1997 season, having played in 195 games with 154 starts over 13 seasons.
