Will Zalatoris Biography

William Patrick Zalatoris, born August 16, 1996, is an American professional golfer who has competed on the PGA Tour. He captured his first PGA Tour victory at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship. Originally planning to attend Stanford, he accepted the Arnold Palmer Scholarship to play for Wake Forest University starting in 2014. In October 2014, he won his first collegiate title at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate with a 10-under performance. In July 2016, he claimed the Trans-Mississippi Amateur and Pacific Coast Amateur titles. As a junior in 2017, he earned ACC Player of the Year honors. He chose to turn professional in December 2017, leaving Wake Forest before completing his final semester in 2018.
