Warren Carlos Sapp, born on December 19, 1972, played 13 seasons in the NFL as a defensive tackle, primarily with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 1994, he earned the Lombardi Award and the Bronko Nagurski and Bill Willis trophies while playing college football for the Miami Hurricanes. Selected in the first round of the 1995 NFL draft, Sapp spent his first nine seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From 2024 to 2025, he served as an assistant coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. With the Buccaneers, he earned seven Pro Bowl selections and four first-team All-Pro honors, contributing to the team’s Super Bowl XXXVII victory. In 2007, he was named to the Florida High School Association All-Century Team, which honored the top 33 players in 100 years of high school football in his home state. He played at the University of Miami for the Hurricanes, where he emerged as a defensive standout after being recruited by many top college football programs.
