Walter Jones Biography

Walter Jones, born January 19, 1974, played 12 seasons as an offensive tackle in the National Football League. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles after attending Holmes Community College. Jones spent his entire professional career with the Seattle Seahawks, earning seven All-Pro selections and recognition as an NFL 2000s All-Decade Team member. He made nine Pro Bowls and was selected to six All-Pro teams during his NFL tenure. After two seasons at Holmes Community College, he was named Mississippi Junior College Player of the Year in 1994. As a junior in 1996, he started 11 games and played in the Sugar Bowl for Florida State, earning second-team All-ACC honors. He was selected by the Seahawks in the first round with the sixth overall pick in the 1997 NFL draft.
