Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Biography

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is a professional baseball first baseman who has played for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball. He made his MLB debut in 2019 and bats and throws right-handed. In 2018, he was named Minor League Player of the Year after batting .381 with 20 home runs, 78 RBI, and 38 strikeouts in 95 games. In 2021, he led MLB in home runs (48), runs scored (123), and total bases (363), earning his first All-Star selection and MVP honors. He finished second in American League MVP voting that season. He was ranked the top international free agent in 2015 by Baseball America and fourth-best by MLB.com. He became the youngest All-Star Game MVP at age 22 and 119 days, the first Blue Jays player to win, and the first Canadian citizen to do so.
