Vince Young Biography

Vince Young, born May 18, 1983, is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League for six seasons, primarily with the Tennessee Titans. In 2005 he earned the Maxwell, Davey O'Brien, and Manning awards while playing for the Texas Longhorns, culminating in a win in the 2006 Rose Bowl. Young was selected by the Titans third overall in the 2006 NFL draft. During his initial NFL campaign, Young received the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and earned a Pro Bowl selection. Young helped the team reach the playoffs the following year and received a second Pro Bowl selection in 2009. Young spent his last season as a backup for the Philadelphia Eagles. Vince Young earned the Pete Dawkins Trophy in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was recognized as a top high-school prospect by The Sporting News.
