Victor Cruz Biography

Victor Michael Cruz, born on November 11, 1986, is an American former professional football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League. Cruz played college football at UMass and signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He helped the New York Giants win Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots and earned a 2012 Pro Bowl selection. During his time at Bridgton Academy, Cruz recorded 47 receptions for 869 yards and eight touchdowns. In that same season, he caught 42 passes and scored 19 touchdowns, with 15 of those touchdowns coming on receptions. Cruz was named a first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association wide receiver in both 2008 and 2009. In a preseason game against the New York Jets on August 16, 2010, he caught six passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns in a 31–16 Giants victory.
