Trent McDuffie Biography

Trent McDuffie, born on September 13, 2000, is an American professional football cornerback who has played for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League. Trent McDuffie played his collegiate football with the Washington Huskies before being chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2022 NFL draft's first round. McDuffie became a starting corner for the Chiefs during the 2022 season, contributing to their Super Bowl victory in that same year. After his junior season in 2021, he announced he was leaving college to enter the 2022 NFL Draft. Pro Football Focus and Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com each ranked McDuffie as the draft's second-best cornerback prospect. On January 1, 2023, he recorded seven combined tackles, including four solo, forced a fumble, and made his first career sack on Russell Wilson for a 12-yard loss in a 27–24 win over the Denver Broncos. He wore number 22 throughout his college career at Washington in tribute to his brother Tyler, who passed away in 2015.
