Travis Etienne Biography

Travis Etienne Jr. was born on January 26, 1999, and is an American professional football running back who has played in the National Football League. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round with the 25th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft after playing college football for the Clemson Tigers. Etienne committed to Clemson University to play college football on January 21, 2017, and began his collegiate career with the Tigers. During his standout season, he rushed for 1,659 yards and recorded an FBS-leading 24 rushing touchdowns. He had eight games with over 100 rushing yards and was named MVP following Clemson's victory in the 2018 ACC Championship Game against Pitt. Etienne was honored as both ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year after the regular season concluded. Despite being projected to enter the 2020 NFL draft, he announced on January 17, 2020, that he would return to Clemson for his senior year.
