Tobias Harris Biography

Tobias John Harris, born on July 15, 1992, is an American professional basketball player who has competed in the National Basketball Association. He played one season of college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers before being selected 19th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Charlotte Bobcats and subsequently traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Harris has earned more in his NBA career than any other player without an All-Star selection. He began varsity play at Half Hollow Hills High School West during his eighth grade year. During his high school career, he played 66 games and averaged 24.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He played for the Tennessee Volunteers as a freshman during the 2010–11 season under coach Bruce Pearl. Harris made his NBA debut on January 7, 2012, against the Los Angeles Clippers and recorded a team-high 15 points the following day in a game against the Phoenix Suns.
