Tim Tebow Biography

Timothy Richard Tebow was born on August 14, 1987, and played as a professional football quarterback in the National Football League for three seasons, primarily with the Denver Broncos. Tebow played college football for the Florida Gators, winning the Heisman Trophy as an underclassman and leading the team to BCS National Championship titles in 2006 and 2008. At the end of his college career, Tebow held the Southeastern Conference's records for career passing efficiency and rushing touchdowns. He became the Broncos' starting quarterback during the 2011 season, helping the team achieve its first division title and playoff victory since 2005. After being traded from his previous team, Tebow served as a backup quarterback for the New York Jets during his single season with the franchise. Following his time in the NFL, Tebow competed in minor league baseball with the New York Mets organization from 2016 to 2021. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
