Tim Lincecum, born June 15, 1984, is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played ten seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily for the San Francisco Giants. Lincecum won World Series championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014 as a member of the Giants and earned two Cy Young Awards during his career. Tim Lincecum attended the University of Washington after high school in Renton, Washington, and earned the 2006 Golden Spikes Award. He became the first University of Washington player to be selected in the first round of an MLB draft when the San Francisco Giants chose him tenth overall. Tim Lincecum secured the Cy Young Award in both 2008 and 2009, achieving the distinction of being the first pitcher to win the honor in his initial two full seasons in Major League Baseball. He was named the Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year in 2004 and again in 2006 while playing for the Washington Huskies. Lincecum made his professional debut in 2006 with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes of the Single-A short season Northwest League.
