Thurman Thomas Biography

Thurman Lee Thomas, born May 16, 1966, played 13 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Buffalo Bills. He earned All-American honors twice while playing college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Selected by the Bills in the second round of the 1988 NFL draft, he spent all but one season with the team. His contributions helped the Bills make four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1991 to 1994. During the 1982–83 season, he led the Willowridge football team to a Texas Class 4A State Title. As a sophomore in 1985, he rushed for 1,553 yards, ranking fourth nationally. From 1984 to 1987, he carried the ball 897 times, a record in Oklahoma State history.
