Terry Kinard Biography

Alfred Terance Kinard, born on November 24, 1959, was an American professional football player who played as a safety in the NFL during the 1980s and 1990s. He played college football for the Clemson Tigers and earned recognition as a two-time consensus All-American. Kinard was selected in the first round of the 1983 NFL draft and went on to play professionally for the New York Giants and Houston Oilers. He won a Super Bowl with the New York Giants during the 1986 season. He played for the Clemson Tigers from 1979 to 1982, contributing significantly to the team's defensive success. In 1982, he was named CBS National Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the USA Today All-College Football Team. Kinard was honored with induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
