Terrell Davis Biography

Terrell Lamar Davis, born October 28, 1972, played as a running back for the Denver Broncos in the NFL from 1995 to 2001. Despite a seven-year professional career with four full seasons, Davis is widely regarded as one of the greatest running backs in NFL history. In the 1997 postseason, Davis scored eight rushing touchdowns, setting an NFL record for most in a single playoff run. He established the 'Mile High Salute' as a touchdown celebration tradition for Denver Broncos players. Davis once held the Lincoln Prep discus throw record while competing on the track team. He did not play a game under coach Allen, who passed away after the 1990 season. After Hearst graduated, Davis became the primary running back in 1993, rushing for 824 yards on 167 carries.
