Stevie Johnson Biography

Steven John Johnson Jr., born on July 22, 1986, was an American former professional football player who played as a wide receiver in the NFL. Johnson was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft and later played for the San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers. Despite never earning a Pro Bowl selection, he became the first Bills receiver to record back-to-back seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving. He attended Chabot College in California from 2004 to 2005 before transferring to the University of Kentucky. In the Music City Bowl, Johnson recorded three receptions for 67 yards against Clemson. The 2007 season was notable as he achieved 61 receptions for 1,052 yards, averaging 17.2 yards per catch, and scored 13 touchdowns. After strong off-season practices, Johnson secured the starting receiver role prior to the 2010 season.
