Stephen Curry Biography

Wardell Stephen Curry II, born March 14, 1988, is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA, where he has played as a point guard. Stephen Curry, known as Chef Curry, holds recognition as the premier shooter in basketball history and ranks among the top players ever. Curry is a four-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, an NBA Finals MVP, and a two-time NBA All-Star Game MVP. He played collegiately for the Davidson Wildcats, earning Conference Player of the Year honors twice. Curry was selected by the Warriors as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. In 2014–15, he won his first league MVP award and led the Warriors to their first championship since 1975. Stephen Curry contributed to the Warriors' 2017 and 2018 championships and their 2019 NBA Finals appearance, where they lost to the Toronto Raptors in six games.
