Sid Bream Biography

Sid Bream was born on August 3, 1960, and played as a first baseman in Major League Baseball. Sid Bream played in MLB from 1983 to 1994, including stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and Houston Astros. After graduating from Liberty University, Bream was selected by the Dodgers in the 1981 MLB draft. During his tenure with the Pirates, Sid Bream played in over 100 games annually and hit no fewer than 10 home runs in each of four full seasons spanning 1986 to 1990. Bream joined the Braves as a free agent after the 1990 season and reached the playoffs in each of the next three seasons. Bream started most games at first base in 1991 and 1992, hitting 11 and 10 home runs respectively. Bream was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second round of the 1981 MLB draft.
