Shane Albert Doan, born October 10, 1976, is a Canadian ice hockey executive and former player. Doan played his entire 21-season NHL career with the franchise that began as the Winnipeg Jets in 1995 and later relocated to Arizona. He led the Phoenix Coyotes in scoring during each season from 2003 to 2011. His team came closest to winning the Stanley Cup in 2012, when the Phoenix Coyotes lost in the Western Conference Final. Doan represented Canada in international competition and earned five medals, including two gold and three silver, at the World Championships. He began his junior career in the Western Hockey League with the Kamloops Blazers in 1992, where he played for three seasons. His final goal as a Winnipeg Jet occurred on April 12, 1996, when he scored the game-winning goal in the second period against the Los Angeles Kings to make the score 4–2.
