Sean Strickland Biography

Sean Thomas Strickland, born on February 27, 1991, is an American professional mixed martial artist. He has competed in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Strickland made his professional debut in 2008 and compiled an undefeated record of 9–0 in King of the Cage. He secured victory by split decision and defended his championship title on three separate occasions prior to joining the UFC. Strickland made his UFC debut at UFC 171 on March 15, 2014, facing Bubba McDaniel. He secured victory via rear-naked choke submission in the first round. He was scheduled to face former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold on November 6, 2021, at UFC 268.
