Scottie Scheffler Biography

Scott Alexander Scheffler, born on June 21, 1996, is an American professional golfer who competes on the PGA Tour. He has held the world number one ranking in the Official World Golf Ranking for over 175 weeks during his professional career. Scheffler earned PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors in 2020 after turning professional in 2018 following a successful amateur career. He reached the world number one ranking in March 2022 and captured his first major title at the 2022 Masters Tournament the following month. Scheffler won The Players Championship in both 2023 and 2024, becoming the first player to claim the title in consecutive years. He secured his second major championship at the 2024 Masters Tournament and also won the gold medal in the men's individual golf event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Scheffler has been named PGA Tour Player of the Year for four consecutive seasons and has led the PGA Tour money list for four straight years, with career earnings exceeding $100 million.
