Scottie Pippen Biography

Scottie Pippen, born September 25, 1965, played 17 seasons in the NBA and won six championships with the Chicago Bulls. Pippen contributed to the Bulls' rise in the 1990s and helped increase the NBA's international visibility during that decade. He earned eight consecutive NBA All-Defensive First Team honors and was named to the All-NBA First Team three times. Pippen played 12 seasons with the Bulls, one with the Houston Rockets, and four with the Portland Trail Blazers, making the postseason 16 times in his career. In 2021, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, recognizing his status among the league's greatest players. Pippen is one of only two NBA players to win an NBA title and Olympic gold in the same year twice, achieving this in 1992 and 1996. Pippen entered the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice on August 13, 2010, once individually and once as a Dream Team member.
