Sabrina Elaine Ionescu, born December 6, 1997, is an American professional basketball player who has played for the New York Liberty in the Women's National Basketball Association. Sabrina Ionescu has recorded a high number of three-pointers in WNBA games, placing her among the league's top performers in that category. Ionescu played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks, earning national player of the year honors as a senior after winning major awards. She holds the Division I career triple-doubles record and is the Pac-12 Conference all-time leader in assists with 12 career triple-doubles. Sabrina Ionescu was chosen first overall by the New York Liberty in the 2020 WNBA draft. In 2023, she set a new WNBA single-season record for three-pointers and also broke the WNBA Three-Point Contest record. Ionescu has been named a four-time WNBA All-Star and has earned All-WNBA Team honors multiple times.
