Ryan Mountcastle Biography

Ryan Mountcastle, born on February 18, 1997, is an American professional baseball first baseman who has played in Major League Baseball. He made his MLB debut in 2020 with the Baltimore Orioles. Mountcastle began his professional career after signing with the Orioles and being assigned to the Gulf Coast League Orioles. In 2016, he played 115 games with the Delmarva Shorebirds, posting a .281 batting average, 51 RBI, and a .745 OPS. During 2017, he played 127 games between the Frederick Keys and Bowie Baysox, batting .287 with 18 home runs and 62 RBI. Going into the 2018 season, MLB.com ranked him as the third best prospect in the Baltimore Orioles organization. In 2019, he spent the season with the Norfolk Tides and transitioned to playing first base.
