Ryan Day Biography

Ryan Patrick Day, born on March 12, 1979, is an American football coach and former college football player. Ryan Day has served as the 24th head football coach at Ohio State University since 2019. Day served as the acting head coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes during the first three games of the 2018 season. Playing under offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, Day established four career records at UNH, including completion percentage and touchdowns. As a senior in 2001, Day was named team captain, reflecting his leadership and performance. He held the position of offensive coordinator at Temple in 2012 and later served in the same role at Boston College from 2013 to 2014. In 2016, after Chip Kelly was relieved of his duties in Philadelphia, Day joined Kelly’s staff with the San Francisco 49ers in the same capacity.
