Ryan Braun Biography

Ryan Joseph Braun, born November 17, 1983, is an American former professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball. Braun played his entire MLB career for the Milwaukee Brewers from 2007 to 2020 as a left fielder. He also played right field and first base during his career, and served as a third baseman during his rookie season. Braun was a two-time All-American at the University of Miami and earned National Freshman of the Year honors from Baseball America in 2003. The Milwaukee Brewers selected him in the first round, fifth overall, in the 2005 MLB draft. He was named the Brewers' Minor League Player of the Year in 2006. Braun led the National League in slugging percentage in 2007, 2011, and 2012, and also led in hits in 2009, home runs in 2012, and runs in 2012.
