Ronald José Acuña Blanco Jr. was born on December 18, 1997, and has played as a professional baseball outfielder for the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball. He signed with the Braves as an international free agent in 2014 and made his MLB debut in 2018, earning the National League Rookie of the Year Award. In 2023, Acuña became the fifth MLB player to achieve a 40–40 season, recorded 73 stolen bases, and set a modern-era franchise record. He contributed to Venezuela’s first World Baseball Classic title in 2026, representing his nation on the global stage. Acuña began his professional career in 2015 with the Gulf Coast Braves and was promoted to the Danville Braves that same year. In 55 games across both teams, he batted .269 with 16 stolen bases, 18 RBIs, and four home runs. He made his first Grapefruit League appearances in 2017, initially assigned to minor league camp as an extra player.
