He held the world No. 1 ranking for 310 weeks, including a record 237 consecutive weeks, and finished as year-end No. 1 five times. Federer secured 103 singles titles on the ATP Tour, second only to the Open Era's start in 1968, including 20 major titles and 28 Masters events. A Wimbledon junior champion in 1998, he claimed his first major singles title at age 21 during the 2003 tournament. After a six-month break in 2016 to recover from knee surgery, he returned to win three more majors, including the 2017 Australian Open and a record eighth Wimbledon title.
