Rickie Fowler Biography

Rickie Fowler is an American professional golfer born on December 13, 1988, who has competed on the PGA Tour. He held the world number one amateur ranking for 36 weeks during 2007 and 2008. On January 24, 2016, he achieved a career-high fourth position in the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. In 2007, during his senior year of high school, Fowler posted a total score of 64-69=133 to win the SW League Final and lead his team to the state final. In the summer of 2005, he captured the Western Junior title and advanced to the U.S. Amateur, where he lost to the eventual champion Richie Ramsay. In 2006, Fowler recorded a 137 over two rounds in the U.S. Junior Amateur and was eliminated in the second round of match play. In October 2008, he represented the United States in the Eisenhower Trophy, where his team finished in second place.
