Quenton Nelson Biography

Quenton Emerson Nelson, born on March 19, 1996, is an American professional football player who serves as a guard for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League. He earned unanimous All-American recognition during his final season at Notre Dame in 2017. Nelson was chosen sixth overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2018 NFL draft. He was widely projected as a top ten first-round pick prior to the draft. In October 2018, he was honored as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month, following a stretch where the offensive line allowed no sacks over 156 consecutive drop backs and recorded 200 rushing yards in back-to-back games. Nelson made history as the first guard to win the award, and he became the first teammate to win a monthly honor alongside Shaquille Leonard in the same season. He started all 16 games for the Colts during the 2020 season, marking his third consecutive full season as a starter.
