Puka Nacua Biography

Makea Puka Nacua, born on May 29, 2001, is an American professional football wide receiver who has played for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League. Nacua played college football for the Washington Huskies and later transferred to BYU, where he was selected by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft. In his rookie season, Nacua set the NFL record for most receiving yards and receptions by a rookie, earning Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors. During high school, he recorded 260 receptions, 5,226 receiving yards, and 58 receiving touchdowns, all of which are Utah state records. He had nine receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown during the 2020 season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nacua transferred to BYU prior to the 2021 season and began playing for the Cougars that year. In a game on October 16, 2021, he recorded five receptions for 168 yards and a touchdown in a 38–24 loss to Baylor.
