Pete Crow-Armstrong Biography

Pete Henry Crow-Armstrong, born on March 25, 2002, is an American professional baseball center fielder for the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball. He made his MLB debut during the 2023 season after progressing through the minor leagues. Crow-Armstrong was selected by the New York Mets with the 19th overall pick in the 2020 MLB draft. He earned his first All-Star selection in 2025 and was named to a second consecutive All-Star game in 2026. In 2019, his junior year, he was honored as the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year with a .395 batting average, 47 hits, 23 RBIs, and only seven strikeouts in 34 games. Crow-Armstrong began the 2021 season with the St. Lucie Mets in the Low-A Southeast League. On May 18, he was diagnosed with a glenoid labral articular disruption in his right shoulder, requiring surgery and ending his season.
