Patrick Surtain II Biography

Patrick Surtain II, born April 14, 2000, is an American professional football cornerback who has played for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, winning the 2020 National Championship before being selected ninth overall by the Broncos in the 2021 NFL draft. Surtain has made four consecutive Pro Bowls and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. A five-star recruit, he committed to the University of Alabama in 2018 to play college football. As a sophomore in 2019, he recorded 42 tackles, three forced fumbles, eight pass breakups, two interceptions with 24 return yards, and one fumble recovery. He helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 13–0 record and a National Championship victory over Ohio State. Surtain was named defensive MVP of the 2021 Rose Bowl.
