Patrick John Freiermuth, born October 25, 1998, is an American professional football tight end who has played in the National Football League. He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. As a freshman in 2018, Freiermuth recorded 26 receptions for 368 yards and eight touchdowns, setting a record for most receiving touchdowns by a freshman tight end. Freiermuth started his first NFL game in Week 1, recording his first career reception for 24 yards. On November 8, he caught five passes on six targets for 43 yards and two touchdowns in a 29–27 win over the Chicago Bears. The following week, he caught five passes for 31 yards in a 16–16 tie against the Detroit Lions. He played in his first post-season game on January 16, 2022, against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Wild Card Round of the 2021 playoffs.
