Otis Taylor Jr., born August 11, 1942, was an American professional football wide receiver who played in the American Football League. Otis Taylor played college football at Prairie View A&M and was chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 1965 AFL draft. Taylor attended Evan E. Worthing High School, where he played quarterback, basketball, and track. He attended Prairie View A&M University on a basketball scholarship but became a standout receiver on the football team. Taylor was initially the team’s quarterback until his sophomore year, when he was replaced by Jim Kearney. In 1963, the football team won the Southwestern Athletic Conference and was runner-up in the NAIA championship game. Taylor recorded 42 touchdown catches over four years and was named an NAIA first-team All-American as a senior.
