Norman Earl Evans, born on September 28, 1942, was an American professional football player who played as an offensive tackle for 14 seasons in the AFL and NFL. Evans holds the distinction of being the only player in NFL history to be selected in two expansion drafts. He played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs before beginning his professional career. The Miami Dolphins selected Evans from the Houston Oilers during the 1966 AFL Expansion draft. He was later chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1976 NFL Expansion Draft and played three seasons with that team. Evans earned two Pro Bowl selections and participated in three Super Bowls, winning two of them while playing for the Dolphins. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he began his football journey in Donna, Texas, a town with a population of 7,500 and a 2A football program.
