Neymar Jr., born 5 February 1992, is a Brazilian professional footballer who has played as an attacking midfielder and forward. He is recognized for his dribbling, technical ability, agility, passing, and finishing as a goalscorer and playmaker. Neymar holds the record as the all-time top goalscorer with 80 goals and top assist provider with 59 assists for the Brazil national team. He made his professional debut with Santos in 2009 and quickly gained recognition as a standout teenage talent. In 2011, he led Santos to victory in the Copa Libertadores and was awarded the tournament’s best player title. After four seasons with Santos, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 in a world-record transfer valued at €222 million. He has competed in four consecutive FIFA World Cups from 2014 to 2026, scoring nine goals in 15 matches.
