Myles Lorenz Garrett, born on December 29, 1995, is an American professional football defensive end who has played in the National Football League. He earned first-team All-American honors and the Bill Willis Trophy after leading the Southeastern Conference in sacks during 2015 while playing for Texas A&M. Garrett was selected first overall in the 2017 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. He has won NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2023 and 2025, and has earned seven Pro Bowl and five first-team All-Pro selections. As a high school recruit, he was rated a five-star by Rivals.com and ranked as the second best player in his class. As a true freshman in 2014, he surpassed the Texas A&M Aggies' freshman sack record of 5.5 in just six games. During his standout college season, he recorded 11.5 sacks, 53 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hurries, and a blocked kick returned for a touchdown.
