Mike Tyson, born June 30, 1966, is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2024 and is also a cannabis entrepreneur. Nicknamed Iron Mike and Kid Dynamite early in his career, and later known as the Baddest Man on the Planet, Tyson is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, with 12 of those victories occurring in the first round. He claimed his first world title at the age of 20, becoming the youngest boxer in history to win a heavyweight championship. The following year, Tyson became the lineal champion after knocking out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round. After being stripped of the WBC title in the same year, Tyson lost the WBA title to Evander Holyfield via eleventh round stoppage. In 2002, Tyson fought for the world heavyweight title and was defeated by knockout at the hands of Lennox Lewis.
