Mikal Bridges Biography

Mikal Bridges, born August 30, 1996, is an American professional basketball player who has played in the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats, winning national championships in 2016 and 2018. As of June 2026, he has maintained the active record for most consecutive games played in the NBA, not missing a game since his draft. Nicknamed the Warden, he was selected with the tenth overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2018 NBA draft and was traded to the Phoenix Suns on draft night, where he helped the team reach the 2021 NBA Finals. He was recognized as a top high school player in his region, earning a spot on the Philadelphia Inquirer's All-Southeastern Pa. boys basketball first team as a senior. He redshirted his freshman season at Villanova and contributed to team operations by assisting in player scouting. He won the NCAA championship with his teammates, marking the first title for the school since 1985.
