Michael Anthony Strahan, born November 21, 1971, played 15 seasons in the NFL as a defensive end for the New York Giants. He set the NFL single-season record for quarterback sacks and contributed to the Giants’ Super Bowl XLII victory in 2007. Strahan works as a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday and co-hosted ABC’s Good Morning America and Live! with Kelly and Michael from 2012 to 2016. He attended Mannheim American High School, a U.S. Department of Defense school, and played linebacker for the Mannheim Bison. His single season of college football earned him a scholarship to Texas Southern University. Strahan followed his uncle Art, who also played defensive end at Texas Southern University. By his junior year, he transformed into a top NFL prospect.
