Max Muncy Biography

Maxwell Steven Muncy, born on August 25, 1990, is an American professional baseball infielder who has played in Major League Baseball. He played college baseball for the Baylor Bears, contributing significantly during his tenure. Muncy has played in MLB for the Athletics in 2015 and 2016 before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018. During his three years at Baylor, he maintained a .311 batting average and hit 27 home runs. The Oakland Athletics selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. In his MLB career, he has recorded a .273 batting average with 25 home runs and 100 RBIs. He began the 2015 season with the Nashville Sounds of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League, where he hit .274 in 60 games.
