Masyn Winn Biography

Masyn Blaze Winn, born on March 21, 2002, is an American professional baseball shortstop who has played for the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball. Winn was chosen by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 2020 MLB draft. He competed in the Cardinals' minor league system prior to his debut in the major leagues during the 2023 season. Winn assumed the role of starting shortstop for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2024 and received his first Gold Glove Award in 2025. In 2019 as a junior at Kingwood, Masyn Winn achieved a 13–0 record with a 0.67 ERA, 117 strikeouts, and 76+1⁄3 innings pitched while batting .417 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs in District 22-6A. Winn was recognized as the top overall athlete in the Cardinals' minor league system ahead of the 2021 season. He began the 2022 season with the team's affiliate in Peoria.
