Marshawn Lynch, born April 22, 1986, is an American football player who has played in the National Football League for 12 seasons. He was nicknamed Beast Mode and spent most of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. Lynch earned first-team All-American recognition and was named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year during his 2006 season with the California Golden Bears. Lynch played three full seasons with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft and earned Pro Bowl recognition in 2008. During his tenure with Seattle from 2010 to 2015, Lynch achieved two league-leading seasons in rushing touchdowns, earned five Pro Bowl nods, and received one first-team All-Pro honor. After two seasons, Lynch retired a second time until he reunited with the Seahawks in 2019 for their last regular season game and playoff run. During the 2003 season, Lynch recorded 1,722 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns across eight regular-season games, plus 375 additional rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in two postseason contests.
