Marcus LeMarr Allen, born March 26, 1960, played 16 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Los Angeles Raiders. Selected 10th overall in the 1982 NFL draft, he was a standout running back following a successful college career at USC. Over his career, Allen accumulated 12,243 rushing yards and 587 receptions for 5,412 receiving yards. He is the only player to win the Heisman Trophy, be named Unanimous All-American, win a national championship, and claim both NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP. His talent emerged clearly during the 1977 CIF Title game against Kearny High School. Allen played running back at USC from 1978 to 1981, sharing the field with future Hall of Famers Ronnie Lott and Anthony Munoz. In 1980, he became the starting tailback and rushed for 1,563 yards, ranking third nationally behind George Rogers and Herschel Walker.
