Marcel Reed Biography

Marcel Reed (born July 8, 2004) is an American college football quarterback who has played for the Texas A&M Aggies. Reed completed his high school career with 6,357 passing yards and 62 touchdown passes, while also rushing for 2,277 yards and 38 touchdowns. He made his collegiate debut during Week 10 of the season against Mississippi State. The following week, he threw his first touchdown pass for Texas A&M in a game against Abilene Christian. In 2024, Reed began the season as the primary backup to Weigman. He led Texas A&M to an 11–0 start and was ranked third nationally, highlighted by a 27-point second-half comeback against South Carolina in which he threw for a career-high 439 yards. His grandfather, Robert 'Bob' Reed, played college football at Tennessee State and had a professional career with the Washington Redskins in 1965.
