Marc-André Fleury, born on November 28, 1984, is a Canadian former professional hockey goaltender who played in the NHL. Selected first overall in the 2003 NHL entry draft, Fleury played four seasons in the QMJHL with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. He spent 13 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning Stanley Cup championships in 2009, 2016, and 2017. After being chosen by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL expansion draft, Fleury reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2018 and won the Vezina Trophy and Jennings Trophy in 2021. Fleury represented Canada's junior team at the World Junior Championships, winning silver medals in 2003 and 2004. As a youth, he competed in the 1998 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the College-Français Rive-Sud team from Montreal. Playing four seasons with Cape Breton, Fleury's jersey number 29 was retired by the team on January 25, 2008, during his fourth NHL season.
