Macklin Richard Celebrini, born on June 13, 2006, is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who has played as a centre and serves as an alternate captain for the San Jose Sharks in the National Hockey League. Selected first overall by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL entry draft, Celebrini made his NHL debut during the 2024–25 season and was recognized as a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy. Playing college hockey for the Boston University Terriers, Celebrini earned the Hobey Baker Award in his freshman year, becoming the youngest recipient in the award's history. Internationally, Celebrini has represented Canada at the 2024 World Junior Championships, the 2025 and 2026 IIHF World Championships, and the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he became the youngest NHL player to compete for Canada at the Olympic Games. Celebrini began his minor hockey career in Vancouver with the North Shore Winter Club before joining the San Jose Jr Sharks program for the 2019–20 season. Celebrini received the Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Forward of the Year honors after guiding the Steel to the USHL's Eastern Conference Finals. Celebrini committed to play for Boston University starting in the 2023–24 season, where he played alongside his older brother Aiden.
