Mac Jones Biography

Michael McCorkle Mac Jones was born on September 5, 1998, and has played as a professional football quarterback in the National Football League. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, achieving a record-setting passer rating and completion percentage during the 2020 season. Jones was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. He led the Patriots to a playoff berth during his rookie season and earned Pro Bowl recognition. He played high school football at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, under head coach Corky Rogers. After initially committing to the University of Kentucky, he accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Alabama's Crimson Tide. In the 2018 season, he appeared in 14 of the Crimson Tide's 15 games, primarily serving as a holder on special teams.
